Above the everyday.
Machu Picchu & the Andes · November 2025

Stone terraces. Folded mountains. Clouds that make the landscape feel unfinished. Two frames from the Peruvian Andes, taken a day apart.
On 4 November, the camera looks out over Machu Picchu. The terraces follow the shape of the hillside; beyond them, the mountain rises into low cloud. The small figures along the paths are almost lost in the scale of it all.
The following day brings a different palette. In the Rainbow Mountain area near Cusco, green slopes give way to red ridgelines. The architecture has disappeared, but the layers remain: earth, light, weather.
Together, these photographs keep two versions of the same journey. One shaped by stone and the people who placed it. The other shaped by the mountain itself.
Stay a little longer.
